There's Now an App for Reporting Potholes: City Launches OB Connect

Ormond Beach residents now have an easier way to flag potholes, downed signs and other non-emergency issues. The city has launched OB Connect, a free mobile app that routes requests straight to the right department.

Spotted a pothole on your street or a downed sign that's been bugging you for weeks? Ormond Beach residents now have an easier way to flag it. The city has launched OB Connect, a free mobile app designed to make reporting non-emergency issues as simple as opening your phone.

What OB Connect Does

Powered by SeeClickFix, OB Connect lets residents report problems like potholes, damaged street signs, and other non-emergency concerns directly from their phone, with requests automatically routed to the appropriate city department for review and follow-up. Users can track the progress of their own reports and see what others in the community have submitted.

Beyond reporting issues, the app also lets residents pay their utility bill, view community events, sign up for traffic alerts, and receive city updates, essentially rolling several city services into a single place.

"We're excited to give residents another simple way to communicate with the City when they see something that needs our attention," City Manager Joyce Shanahan said in the city's announcement.

Do You Need to Register?

No. Registration isn't required to submit a concern through the app, so residents can report an issue without creating an account. Those who do register, however, get access to automatic updates, including road closures, meeting reminders, hurricane alerts, and other time-sensitive city information, a nice option heading into the fall storm season.

OB Connect is available now on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Residents who prefer using a web browser instead of downloading an app can still submit requests online at seeclickfix.com/ormond-beach.

Why It's Worth Trying
